By Ken Clark, Hawthorne Executive Search

For many job seekers, the old fashion method of finding a job, looking through the Sunday newspaper classifieds for a new job, has been replaced largely by job hunting via the Internet. • 04/09/2007 - Hiring and Retaining Top Sales Talent
By Ken Clark, Hawthorne Executive Search

This article provides a summary of that presentation. If I could pick a couple key points I made to the attendees, they really revolved around these three:
    1. The results of a survey that Hawthorne Ex ... (read more)
  • 03/01/2007 - Matchmaker oh Matchmaker, Make Me a Match
By Jenny Ciappa, Hawthorne Executive Search

A recruiter, like a matchmaker works to unite two parties in a union. It's our job to listen to both sides-the Company (our client) and candidates, and make introductions to satisfy both ends-resulting in a long, happy marriage.

  • 08/03/2006 - Why Should I Work for Your Company?
By Ken Clark, Hawthorne Executive Search

    Well, why should I?

While this may sound like a very abrupt, forward type comment from a potential employee, how your company answers the question could determine whether you can attract and retain the “top guns” to your organization.

A vast majority of the commentary you will read/hear about recruiting is oriented towards what candidates need to do to impress you to hire them.  Yet we have seen a subtle but clear shift to the other direction &ndash ... (read more)
